PIECE OF MINE ARTS

PIECE OF MINE Arts presents original works created by artists of the African Diaspora, in addition to youth programming that explores African Canadian narratives. Based in Toronto, Canada, the company platforms bold pieces in development as well as mainstage plays. We nurture opportunities for the growth and preservation of legacy.

I was moved beyond words, not only by the incredible performance but by the energy and support of the audience. There was such a sense of community...ahhh finally to see myself and my culture represented on the stage!"

I have spent many years running arts programming in the US, including 3 years at the Harlem School of the Arts, and I have to say that the work Piece of Mine produces is at a far higher of theatre I have experienced elsewhere.

Shout out to Natasha Adiyana Morris and Amanda Nicholls from PIECE of MINE Festival who gave me a chance when NOBODY ELSE would. I repeat: nobody else would. Adiyana and Amanda took a chance and programmed my plays MADE IN CONGO and BALCONIES ARE MADE FOR DREAMING in 2013 and in 2016 . . . That's a sign of boldness, trust and confidence in emerging artists.
